Our personality types say a lot about us and when we listen, it can help us be more productive.

Thinkers are very rational and make decisions based on their thoughts and beliefs while Feelers make decisions based on their emotions and feelings.

Are you lead by your head or your heart? You may be surprised to know that I’m a Feeler, and that emotions and feelings (both mine and others) plays a major role in how I make most of my decisions.

Now this doesn’t mean that my thoughts or information don’t weigh in, but not as much as it does with Thinkers.

Thinkers can be described as focused on  assessing, making lists, evaluating the positives and negatives, and general analysis of facts. In a word, very logical.

Feelers are very aware of the feelings of others and are influenced by the social aspects and considerations around them. They tend to make decisions out of a desire to be in harmony with others. A Feeler can be described as “people person”.

So how do you work with a Thinker? Be aware of the need for things to make sense and fit a logical conclusion. Avoid appeals purely  to the softer side and focus  more on the goals and the outcomes  When working with a Feeler be aware of how the decision and it’s results will affect the people it impacts.
